Hormonal Health

Stressed out? Always feeling tired? Craving salt or sugar? Terrible PMS or menses? Low libido?  You may want to check your hormonal health.

Hormonal Health

Your body has an intricate system of communication much of which is mediated by hormones.  Did you know that you have hormones to signal other hormones into action?  Did you know that some hormones have a protective function?  What about hormones to keep you youthful?  In excess, no hormone is doing positive things in the body. The only way to purge excess hormones is through fecal matter so regular bowel movements is a must.

Some of these unsavory conditions are:  PMS, BPH (Benign prostatic hypertrophy), acne, adrenal fatigue, mid-drift weight gain, high blood pressure, thyroid conditions, migraines and more.

Did you know?

  • There are very strong interlinked relationships between the ovarian, adrenal, and thyroid organs in women.

  • As estrogen levels rise and progesterone levels fall the body suffers from:
    • Impaired liver function
    • Impaired vitamin B6 function
    • Reduced endorphin production
    • Increased aldosterone production
    • Increased prolactin production

  • Adrenal fatigue is often accompanied by clinical or sub-clinical hypothyroidism. Laboratory values can be normal but classical signs of hypothyroidism may be present
